A documentary film, which documents the Tagua and PHDC resettlement story has featured at the annual PNG Human Rights Film Festival.
The film titled “Humanitarian Resettlement in Papua New Guinea” and produced by Mr Julius Miller, highlights the combined efforts and vision for a peaceful voluntary resettlement from Paga Hill to Tagua, sharing the experiences of Dame Carol Kidu and her team, as well as PHDC and Tagua community members.
The film was selected to feature in the annual PNG Human Rights Film Festival. This festival is a not-for-profit event that promotes the respect, protection, and fulfilment of human rights in Papua New Guinea.
The film festival travelled from Port Moresby, where it was shown on 25 September 2014, and then continued on-tour to Goroka, Madang and the Autonomous Region of Bougainville.
Congratulations to Tagua community members who played such an active part, as well as to Julius for a powerful film that was extremely well-received at the festival.
