National Hospitality & Tourism Training Academy

A National Hospitality and Tourism Training Academy is planned for within the Cultural & Exhibition Centre. A joint initiative of the National Government, Hotel, Hospitality and Tourism operators and overseas supporters of PNG. The state of the art, purpose built Academy will train local staff across a range of courses that cover all aspects of Hotel, Hospitality and Tourism skills. With a strong emphasis on practical training, the Academy will leverage a number of Paga hill Estate hospitality facilities for training and on-job experience purposes.

This facility will ensure generations of Papua New Guineans are trained to the highest calibre, with unrivalled on-job experience amidst PNG’s premier facilities, and is considered key to achieving a step-change in tourism & hospitality capability.
